Heatstroke
Heatstroke can occur if the dog has been shut in the house or a car without shade, ventilation or water or if, on a warm or hot day, the dog is under stress or over excited. Symptoms can include serious distress, heavy panting, slobbering, vomiting and diarrhoea, raised temperature and ultimately collapse and coma. - Remove the dog to a cool place
- If possible place in a tub of tepid water gradually cooling the water. Otherwise soak with tepid water.
